Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa was developed by Bobby Ginn with Lubert-Adler as financial partner, opening at the early-2000s height of Florida resort development along the Palm Coast Atlantic shoreline. Cvent records the opening year as 2004. In 2017 the property changed hands to Tampa-based KDG Capital, headed by Dr. Kiran Patel, with Aimbridge Hospitality (later Pyramid Global Hospitality) managing the resort and Troon Group managing the two golf courses through their Troon Privé network.
