Sea Crest Beach Resort

Sea Crest Beach Resort sits on a 21.6-acre footprint along Cape Cod''s Old Silver Beach in North Falmouth. The site''s entertainment heritage runs back to the 1920s Old Silver Beach Club; in 1927 the University Players Guild (including a young Henry Fonda, Jimmy Stewart, and Margaret Sullivan) ran a summer playhouse on the property. In 1942 Lou Walters, Barbara Walters'' father, renamed the venue the Latin Quarter. The modern Sea Crest hotel evolved from that mid-century beach-club lineage. The property has cycled through three institutional owners in the past fifteen years. Scout Hotels acquired Sea Crest in February 2010 and completed a $15 million renovation in 2013. Delaware North (the TD Garden owner) acquired the resort in July 2016 for $26.25 million. In January 2023, Certares and HHM partnered to acquire the property, and HHM continues to operate it under the Independent Collection brand. The resort has been in active multi-year renovation since the 2023 transaction; the most recent renovation phase completed September 2024. The conference and meetings program totals over 30,000 square feet of function space. The largest single bookable space, Nauset Center, runs 10,682 square feet at 650 banquet, 1,050 theater, and 450 classroom per Cvent. Combined with the adjacent Ocean View Room (3,620 square feet) and outdoor deck, the Nauset Center configuration accommodates up to 1,100 guests. The namesake Sea Crest Ballroom adds 6,250 square feet at 416 banquet, 800 theater, and 312 classroom; Ballroom II contributes 2,108 square feet (140 banquet, 300 theater). Smaller breakouts (Shutters, Chatham, Highland, Race Point, Courtyard) round out the inventory. Five on-property dining venues serve the meetings program: The Lantern Room (seafood and coastal classics), The Hatch, Buzzards Bay Pizza Co, Captain Scoops (ice cream), and Old Silver Provisions. The closest commercial airport is Cape Cod Gateway (HYA) in Hyannis, ~30 miles east, a small facility. Most attendees route through Boston Logan International (BOS, ~70 miles / ~1 hour 27 minutes, international hub) or T.F. Green / Providence (PVD, ~1 hour 15 minutes, domestic hub). The Bourne and Sagamore bridges over the Cape Cod Canal are the only ground-access points, so Friday afternoon traffic should factor into arrival staging.
